Hello Luminaries!
Just wanted to share a new animation I put together using Keyshot of the PDP Riffmaster, a highly anticipated Guitar Controller for Rock Band and potentially Fortnite Festival.
Over 20,000 views in under 2-hours upon release, Keyshot does it again in helping make great assets for our marketing team to succeed.

I never had the older consoles but wasn’t it Guitar Hero once where you also had some toy guitar? But it really looked like toy. This seems way more mature. Besides listening I’m totally off when it has to do with music. Bought a midi keyboard twice to learn to play but never happened.
I follow some brands that create controllers for race sims and flight sims and it’s nice to see so much competition on there currently. Loads of new brands especially with direct drive wheels and every brand tries to be unique in some way, which is hard but helps other brands to stay sharp as well. Great products to work for/with I think, pretty hard for small brands to get into the game and reckon margins are also getting smaller with so much competitors.
I don’t have news on that front, as Epic Games (owners of Fortnite) bought out Rock Band and I think their big push is focused around Fortnite Festival.
@oscar.rottink There were a couple big titles that launched with similar ideas like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Rocksmith and a variety of smaller titles. It came to be during the rise of rhythm games, which I was a huge fan of Dance Dance Revolution back in my teenage years. I never got into Rock Band as I was out of that phase when they released, but it seems there has been a huge following despite games have been lacking the past several years.
To the point where our guitar we released ages ago and discontinued were selling on Ebay in the $1000+ range. There are people that went the thrift stores and garage sales trying to come up on old guitars controllers and turn around and flip them for a huge profit cause a lot of the time, people didn’t know the value of the guitar controllers they had and wanted to sell their old PS/XB systems and get rid of all their peripherals. The rhythm game community is extremely excited for the new product cause it will directly combat the scalping and price gouging, potentially giving rise to rhythm games once again.
I read something about an estimated release in 2027, so it’s really far away right now. But at least it’s coming eventually! I was a huge Guitar Hero fan when I was a kid, so I’m really glad that there are still companies that invest in gear for such games.
They have been releasing new songs for Rock Band just till this last month as it appears it was their last DLC pack. I think it is going to be moving to Fortnite Festival from this point on. This is all speculation on my part though, I don’t have any insider information in that regard.
